Babak Farohideh is a relentless trial attorney with a unique practice history that blends aggressive civil and criminal representation of a diverse client base, including the largest US Companies, multinational corporations, small businesses, celebrities, and thousands of indigent clients. Mr. Farohideh handles a wide variety of complex and high profile cases, including, but not limited to: international business disputes, white-collar crime, mortgage-fraud, securities fraud, mail and wire fraud, identity theft, international narcotics trafficking, drug offenses and crimes of violence.
Mr. Farohideh began his career as an Assistant Public Defender in Miami-Dade County, one of the busiest and best respected public defender’s offices in the country. There he developed world-class trial skills and became a zealous and successful litigator; Mr. Farohideh first or second chaired over twenty jury trials in under three years. After leaving the public defender’s office, he became an associate at Rivero Mestre LLP, where he actively litigated cases for some of the world’s largest banks. Mr. Farohideh next joined the LS Law Firm, where he worked alongside renowned criminal defense attorney Lilly Sanchez on high profile federal, state, and civil cases. Babak and Lilly delivered outstanding results for their diverse clients in Florida, New York, California, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, and Peru.
Mr. Farohideh graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law where he received a Dean’s Merit Scholarship, Honors recognition for his trial work in the “Litigation Skills” course, and a CALI Book Award for his work in the Community Economic Design and Development Clinic. He was also a finalist for his 1L Moot Court Competition. Mr. Farohideh earned his Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in political theory from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Mr. Farohideh is fluent in Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish. He is also proficient in Farsi, Turkish, and French.
